The Cinema Scene

It all started the afternoon I woke up. Ummm,...yes, afternoon! It was little over 12 noon when I struggled to furbish my eyes to get a glimpse of the time from my smart phone.

Sometime studies can be tough, especially when you are doing MBA from a reputed Institute. It was like a ship sailing through a storm in the ocean for 2 weeks. After flowing through that time, I hope not to miss out on any hole to be left unsecured for me to drown before I reach the shore.

The very next morning, my cousin got 3 tickets of the movie, Akshan Jackson. Yes! a refreshment in deed. We went to Oberoi Mall, Goregaon (E) for the movie.

While we were waiting for the staff to let us in after they clean the cinema hall for us, a guy wearing black Kurta, removes the Barrier belt in front of the closed gate, ignores the sign board of 'work in progress' and gets inside with 2 of his other friends instead. The staff were cleaning up the mess caused by people before us and these 3 people went right through. Seeing this, few children urged their parents to get in as well. They got in! and rest of the crowd followed like water flowing though a broken dam, in the mirage that the gate were let open. The sign board of 'work in progress' had no better meaning than just a means of walking over it.

Something happened, the crowd was not going in any more. Things got stuck, as the staff inside made the crowd wait for another 5 min or so before they can actually occupy the seats. Few people got angry with the fact that the arrangements were not finished yet. One of those few happened to be a friend of the guy who actually started this. You poor King! If they would have allowed them to sit anyway, comments would have been raised, not only by the angry ones but by the entire lot; extremely bad cleanliness! my money is wasted etc.

It was the work of an Indian who messed things up. Few Indians couldn't resist to pass comments about how slow their service is. True, the staff should have been alert at the entrances but the common man has nothing better to do but blame the situation. Even if they held them back for 5 min, it was for their own good; so that they don't complain about the hall being messy during their leisure time.

We blame others for what they did wrong, but never question ourselves whether it was their perception or the reality?! Things won't change until we change ourselves, until we take responsibilities of our actions.
